The VBC Group is recognised as a leading global supplier of specialised brazing and welding filler materials, and manufacturer of innovative and bespoke mechanised welding systems. Servicing the world’s leading blue chip organisations and industries, our core markets are aerospace, electronics, power generation, medical, telecommunication and automotive.
Our origins lie within our knowledge of the aerospace market. Since this time we have developed a set of competencies, both technological and commercial, which have seen us demonstrate our ability to innovate and bring high technology products to market.
Operating from two manufacturing sites in the UK, we provide a one-stop facility to offer the widest and most complete bespoke package for your metal-to-metal and metal to composite joining requirements.
Our brazing division offers over 250 different types of product and alloys from nickel-based materials to precious metals. These are available in all forms including wires, foils, powders, pastes and preforms. Auxiliary items are also sold for successful alloy application, including such items as dispensing equipment, stop-offs, cements, and joint preparation cleaners. We also provide auxiliary items for the successful operation of a furnace, including such items as ceramic furniture and thermocouples. We can also assist in the purchase and specification of capital equipment associated with brazing and heat treatment.
Our welding division also offers over 250 different types of specialist filler alloy wires needed to join nickel, cobalt, titanium, aluminium, magnesium, steel, stainless, and superalloy based materials. Wires available in straight length and spool, with standard sizes offered between 0.80mm to 3.2mm although non-standard sizes available on request, including fine diameters as low as 0.08mm for critical applications. All wires meet aerospace standards for cleanliness and consistency, and are approved by all the leading aircraft engine OEM’s such as Rolls-Royce, G.E., and P&W.
Our engineering division manufacture bespoke mechanised welding systems and power sources. Inventor of the unique VBC InterPulseä series of controlled heat management TIG sets, we have successfully welded crack sensitive materials such as 718, MAR-M materials and single crystal. Equipment can be purchased or leased. We offer after sales servicing and calibration services.
In addition to our products, we also offer technical support, advice for successful joining, bespoke welding and brazing training courses held either in-house or at VBC, project management consultancy, sub-contract welding, and Borofuseä hardening.
We hold ISO9001 quality approval as well as many Customer approvals, and aerospace accreditations.
